What are some movies similar to garden state?
Movies that I guess are just kind of about life and stuff. I liked garden state & in the land of women…They kinda make me relaxed while watching them…anyone know any similar ones?
Zach Braff also made another movie about men who wouldn’t grow up. It was pretty good too.
Rachel Bilson was his love interest.

So you like minus the bear and garden state….nice. Just saw minus about 2 weeks ago and Garden state is one of my favorite movies. Saw it previewed when I saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind(highly recommended) and immediately picked it up.
Check out The Science of Sleep. It’s from the same director of Eternal Sunshine and the movie is pretty damn chill. I enjoyed it just as much as the above mentioned movies.
The Ex is possibly Zach Braff worst movie and its very predictable
juno, which has just been released, is said to be very similar in tone to garden state.
ghost world is vastly superior to garden state but it has a similar feel, although it’s more melancholic and darkly humorous.
year of the dog with molly shannon is also worth checking out if you want something different story-wise but similar in feel to GS.
Eternal Sunshine For The Spotless Mind is my ultimate "think about life & love" movie. If you haven’t seen it please make that your #1 next rental.
The Fountain is, too. kinda. Of course with fantastic overtones.

See Juno, it is a good story about high school but has a great sub-plot about accepting the responsibilities of adulthood.
These may not exactly be similar to Garden State, but they do provoke strong emotion (depending on your perspective) and aren’t only about the chasing-ambition theme.
