Sort 10 films from most watchable to least watchable.

Any bored film buffs out there?

This a random collection of films that I have never seen. If you aren’t familiar with a particular film leave it off your list. I guess I would define “watchability” by how likely something is able to keep you awake and involved.

Aliens

The Third Man

Roman Holiday

Annie Hall

The Thing

Shawshank Redemption

Blue Velvet

North by Northwest

Vertigo

The Philadelphia Story

You haven’t seen The Shawshank Redemption? My god, it’s one of the best movies ever.
Thanks for the responses so far. And yes, I know, it’s ridiculous that I haven’t seen Shawshank yet. And I’m not sure if The Thing comment was sarcasm or not. That’s actually one film I’ve never heard anyone refer to but is supposedly pretty good. I’m thinking Annie Hall first since it seems like it would be the most accessible and not as emotionally trying as I assume Shawshank will be.

Appreciate the help!
Shawshank is the only movie on the list that I have seen. But, I would see it immediately. It is my favorite all-time movie. It’s excellent. No matter how many times I watch it, I never get sick of it.

Blue Velvet got me laid for the first time, so I always recommend that one. But any movie on that list is worth watching.
thanks for the new responses. haven’t started watching this list yet, but it looks like Aliens tops the list now. it’s crazy that i’ve never seen it yet since i loved the first one so much.

is Blue Velvet as hard to follow as Mulholland Drive? i know how bizarre Lynch’s stuff can get.
