Please Recommend The Sickiest Movie You’ve Seen
I want to really feel chill, thrill, grossed out, and disgusted. But I usually have a very high tolerance to violence and the grotesque, and scenes depicting morally detestable acts. I need good recommendations on the sickest movie I can possibly see, whether from the graphic nature or the premise.
I have just put Inside on my movie queue and hope this will be decent. Supposedly a pregnant girl gets her belly cut open! That sounds fairly promising, I hope it delivers! (pardon the pun)
Audition, Ichi the Killer, Hostel, the Saw series, to name a few. There’s that Italian cannibal film that was banned, can’t remember the name of it, but it’s been mentioned before.
FYI, I haven’t see any of the above, I’ve just heard about what’s in them, and I’m never in the mood for graphic violence.

Ok I’ve seen the Hostel and Saw 1, 2, and 3. Not bad. I’ll try the other ones.

Looks like Blockbuster online doesn’t have this. I wonder if I’ll have any luck with local independent video stores.

when you watch them you will want to look away from the screen, but you wont because you want to see what gross shit will happen next
Event Horizon was pretty freaky IMO, if you want movies that actually hit theaters, instead of crazy boutique shit.
I’ve seen Wolf Creek and thought it was just ok. Event Horizon was just tense unease, not really very sick.

3 Extremes
This is three short horror films by three different directors. The best one in terms of being sickest would be “Dumplings.” But the other two stories have their appeal. One of them is directed by Oldboy’s Park Chanwook, while the other is directed by Miike Takashi (Audition, Ichi the Killer). Miike’s contribution is more odd and artsy than sick. So don’t expect it to be like Ichi or Audition.
Miike’s Visitor Q has disturbing themes, but not so much in a blood-and-guts way. Plus the content is often depicted in a comical way.
There is incest, domestic violence, rape, murder, necrophilia… and then the necrophilia gets worse.
It’s a great film, in any case.

By far, the most disturbing movie I’ve seen… so much for “No animals harmed in the filming” of this one.
Cannibal Holocaust is the only movie that I have ever watched that really got to me. Gore or anything else dealing with people, I can handle. I’m a pussy when it comes to animal cruelty, though.
