I can’t be scared by any movie anymore- even if watched at night. What’s the scariest movie you know of? maybe it’ll work on me…
ps don’t bother saying The Ring or Exorcist or Shining
The Ring? No one gets scared by that shit. Scream 1 is scarier than the ring, lol.

That’s what I thought until I saw cannibal. It was not "scary" but very disturbing. Also, it is a true story. The movies you listed are good stories, but not a single one is scary.

I remember reading about that in the news… pretty disturbing just to read about… if i remember correctly he even shared a piece of the victim before killing him.

The most you can hope for is a creepy, unsettling feeling from a movie. I get that from Kurosawa Kiyoshi movies, especially "Cure" and "Pulse".
But you know, there is a scene on this movie "Edmond" where William H. Macy meets his cell mate for the first time. Just the look on Macy’s face scared the shit out of me, and that isn’t even a horror.

There is also another movie based on the same thing called, "Rohtenburg". I have seen neither.
scary? no not really.
The only movie that has ever actually scared me was Event Horizon, when I saw it in the theater. But I was also like 13.

clowns, dolls, and midgets give me nightmares…i be skurred
i’m one of the lucky people that get’s scared at movies, and I would hate to lose that. I think the original Halloween is very very scary. Annie’s whole death sequence is so simple and scary, and just the little details in it creep me out.
it’s a blessing and a curse. I always get laughed at for admitting that I still won’t watch The Exorcist by myself and I found The Ring to be pretty frightening but it’s nice to be able to watch movies like that and be affected by them in the intended manner.
to the OP, if you’re looking for suggestions on horror movies check out . I’m sure there are other sites like it but I found a ton of movies mentioned in their forums that I would have otherwise never even heard of.

anyways, ‘the audition’ was pretty creepy, but not really scary. i haven’t found a real scary movie lately either.
Last movie that really scared the shit out of me was when I was 8 my parents rented Howard the duck.
Btw am I the only one who thinks The Shining is a comedy?
the thing about most horror movies anymore is that they dont try to scare people..they just try to gross out people……..its stupid….stick to the classic movies like stuff back in the 70’s and 80’s for the good stuff

oh yeah, nothing has scared me more than the silent hill video game series. If you want to be scared I reccomend picking those up, 1 and 2 specifically.
