Most disturbing movie you’ve ever seen?

Main stream only.

Mine:

Bad Lieutenant
Leaving Las Vegas
Awakenings

Each one a head fuck in it’s own little way.

Inside. The french film. Most disturbing film ever made.

Police Academy 4: citizens on patrol
Operation Dumbo Drop
Requim for a Dream (maybe, i dont really find movies disturbing anyway)

Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. When I was a kid at least. I re-watched it recently and found the acting to be quite comical.

robocop as a kid. seeing the cop get slaughtered by bullets was no fun. also robocop without his mask was pretty ugly too.

Requiem for a Dream

Girl next door (jack kechum)
crusing.

. No contest.

I’d mention , but that one is tinged with black humor and has a sort of oddly happy ending; a light at the end of the tunnel, relatively speaking. Irreversible is not the slightest bit funny. It is a raw and dead serious mindfuck of a drama.

In any case, I recommend seeing both Irreversible and Visitor Q.

The only good thing about Irreversible is Monica Bellucci’s sex scene (rape scene if you want to get technical!)

entirely overrated.

maynard

When I was in first grade(1981) I watched American Werewolf In London and it scared the shit out of me. Years later, I watched 8 Mile and learned a new kinda fucked up.

A new kind of fucked up? What, fucked up acting by eminem?

I was trying to make a funny. Fail.

Just watched Antichrist last night. That shit is nutty as hell. I could not believe some of the shit they were showing.

. No contest.

i agree sir

maynard is the best dude.

you would, you massive faggot. both of those movies are overrated because of a) rape and b) monica belluci and c) shitty jap gayness. take your faggot bandwagon kitchy horror gayness elsewhere. cripple.

Audition
Itchi The Killer
Suicide Club

Believe they are all from the same director also.. Audition was probably the lest fucked but the others had some shit that was just really graphic and kind of left me feeling disturbed which takes a look seeing I grew up on shit like Face of Death.

Two runners up are Ken Park and Gummo

Suicide Club is a different director. Audition and Ichi The Killer are Miike Takashi movies. Speaking of which, I mentioned another of his earlier: Visitor Q. Have you seen that one? If not, it’s next on your list to see.

Your mom is overrated because of rape.

Itchi The Killer, hands down was the sickest movie I’ve ever partially seen. And I say partially cause I couldn’t even finish the whole thing.

ichi the killer was boring. it’s gore for the sake of gross. not really any entertainment value.

Santa’s Slay.
Badass,
yet weird O_o

You’re confusing it with the Saw and Hostel movies. Koroshiya Ichi is far more surreal, for one. It doesn’t take itself as seriously as the aforementioned movies, but it has a lot more to leave you pondering about. It is similar to Visitor Q in that if you can’t get past the shock of what’s going on, then you’ll miss the point entirely.

Speaking of pointless gore, go see Ninja Assassin. What a piece of shit movie that was.

Martyrs

I will not watch that movie again.

. No contest.

Seriously… Irreversible was by far the most fucked up shit i have ever seen.. but it was good… thats why i own it lol

There’s a few movies that I sat there and was like, "wow, i can’t believe I just saw that".

1.Old Boy (Korean Horror flick, though i wouldn’t say it’s horror)
2. Audition
3. Gummo
4. Cannibal Holocaust – A flick with gore so realistic that the director from what i understand was arrested and was held untill the actors who were slain came out of hiding, they were each paid to stay out of sight to keep the realism up. Not sure how true it is, but I read it on the internet, so it has to be true Look it up!

i’m not confused. i’ve bought a copy of it based on a recommendation from a friend. this friend also loves Friends. so… yeah. shit was fucking lame man. Violence does not make for ‘disturbing’. shit. the glass house was more disturbing than that cuz the old man wanted to fuck his adopted daughter in the asshole. that shit is fucked up. but whatever. go back to being a teenager.

You might discover that I didn’t list Ichi The Killer as my input for most disturbing movie. Someone else mentioned it and I started talking about it. To be perfectly honest, nothing really disturbs me anymore. But as far as movies go that have the potential to disturb others, I listed a couple. This is based on my experience with showing these movies to other people. It has little to do with how I feel about them. In fact, I think Visitor Q is a great and uplifting piece of cinema. Irreversible, on the other hand, is quite a downer but still brilliant. You have the right to think otherwise, but you’re mistaken if you think the only people who like the films I’ve mentioned are in some way similar to adolescent teens.

The adopted daughter scenario from The Glass House is nothing special. It sounds like a fucking Lifetime channel movie of the week. And not to mention that The Glass House isn’t nearly as good as any of the movies I’ve mentioned. You might as well add The Quiet to your list where Elisha Cuthbert is being raped by her biological father, since that movie was similarly shitty.

you’re so fuckin spastic. don’t be hatin because your taste in movies is shite.

I remember seeing this movie when I was a toddler, it scared the shiot out of me. I should watch it now

Fail.

I don’t tend to find movies disturbing, but if I had to pick one I would say Boxing Helena was pretty fucked up

thats just like your opinion man. have you even seen any of them there not even horror movies jack ass.

i see the broadness of a word is something you cannot grasp. go back to quoting jeff bridges and sh.

District 9 was the most disturbing movie I’ve seen recently. Ever? I can’t think that far back.

that’s not that bad, if you want to see a fucked up school shooting movie you should watch Zero Days

hard candy fucked me up

the orphan and running scared also come to mind

elephant wasn’t my kind of movie specifically for that reason. i’ll pass.

hey guys i took ur suggestions and watched Bad Lieutenant and Zero Hour.. BL was pretty good for a nicholas cage movie, and zero hour was quite good as well – i was afraid that the producers would pussy out and not show the actual shooting, or blame the camcorder plot device for why they cant show it, but they ended up using security footage + audio from a discarded cellphone, turned out quite well.. .

I haven’t seen the one with Nicholas Cage, that’s the sequel that just came out, but the one you want to see is with Harvey Keitel and is incredibly creepy in what a low life he is.

sequel ftl.

when i was very young, probably just in the 2nd grade, my dad thought it would be a good idea for the whole family to sit down one night and watch the Sherlock Holmes movie Murder By Decree, which is about Jack the Ripper. it bothered me.

i also saw the The Omen when i was pretty young, and i didnt understand what i was watching really, but it disturbed me.

The Bad Lieutenant isn’t really a sequel. In any case, it’s a great movie.

The Last House On The Left & Sleepaway Camp

man and pig?

check it on youtube called Bonita Luchadore

Dude, that movie is fucking insane. I was just telling my Uncle–huge horror buff–about the film. The man had me watch the Evil Dead triliogy when I was 10 so we have a tradition of showing eachother fucked up film.

If you want to be disturbed check out Old-Boy and (especially) Salo

Dancer in the Dark

Disturbing/Depressing just all around a bad time but brilliantly made.

Only thing I can think of that might have been "disturbing" would be "Ichi the Killer"

one guy one jar………yeah disturbing

Totally agree about Takeshi Miike movies. They’re graphic and violent, but he sneaks in subtle humor that is actually pretty effective at confusing your emotions when you watch his films.

His episode in the "Masters of Horror" series is top notch also. Haha, try sit still while watching that.

i dont watch disturbing movies… but the saw series were exciting

Requiem for a Dream or clockwork orange, although I’m pretty desensitized to just about anything these days.

I haven’t seen the one with Nicholas Cage, that’s the sequel that just came out, but the one you want to see is with Harvey Keitel and is incredibly creepy in what a low life he is.

the one with Nick Cage was awfull.
The Scene with Harvey and the two teen girls, they claim he really went all out for that scene.

Elephant was boring as fuck IMO. Is Zero Day any better?

Ken Park
Cannibal Holocaust
A Clockwork Orange
City of God
Trainspotting (mainly just the dead baby scenes)
Evil Dead (as a child)
The Shining (as a child)

Requiem for a Dream was definitely tragic but in terms of the drug use and effects it wasn’t very realistic at all. The whole part where Harry’s arm got infected was pretty stupid and unrealistic. If the fucker was dumb enough to keep shooting into the exact same infected area even when it was already gangrene then he pretty much got what he deserved, but in terms of a drug movie it was a little over-dramatized and nowhere near as realistic as it could have been.

I completely forgot about Super Mario Bros.

Any movie where the hot chick is a dinosaur, fungus is your friend, and where dinosaurs carry guns that turn people into monkeys is going to induce nightmares. Just looking back at Dennis Hopper as King Koopa is making me shutter.

The gay shower scene was waaaay more disturbing than any of the school shooting scenes.

The only thing I found more disturbing than Cannibal Holocaust was the IMDB trivia about the movie. HOLY FUCKING SHIT!

this.

The only mainstream movies I recall disturbing me were The Exorcist, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, An American Werewolf in London and A Clockwork Orange.

i usually dont watch gorey movies. id have to say spun is the most disturbing movie i can think of. but mostly because i was a stones throw from being in that kind of fucked up life at one point.

A Serbian Film

there was a thread about it a while back…good god. Made Cannibal Holocaust / Martyrs / whatever look like Candyland

Just watched a serbian film, mother of sweet baby fucking jesus christ, I don’t think a sicker film will ever be made in our lifetime

Requiem For A Dream

Nurse Betty (I think because it was brutally violent and I wasn’t expecting that going in. Awful movie. I just about walked out)

The Lovely Bones (even though it wasn’t as graphic as the book, the subject matter is stomach turning)

Coraline (odd choice, I know – but the Beldam is fucking scary as fuck!)

Hannibal (the brain scene)

it’s sort of hard to top a woman giving birth and someone immediately raping and sodomizing the newborn to death

Old Boy

/thread

The thing is they’re Serbs, they did this kinda shit irl all over bosnia in the early 90’s and still do it for fun on Serbian holidays and some weekends. It’s normal for them.

Watched this on netflix for shits and giggles, was pretty fucking disturbing, yet strangely arousing.

i’m watching The Bridge (2006), its a documentary about jumpers at the golden gate bridge
the first few minutes… shots of the bridge, actual footage: people looking down, walking around.. families, tourists… down below boats and windsurfers… you know what the movie is about so you’re very aware "will this person do it, will she do it…".. and finally, a middle aged man, looking down, focused… hops the railing.. holds on for half a second, doesn’t waste any more time and leaps off… the camera follows him most of the way down until he accelerates too fast and you hear the splash. so peaceful almost… i am thinking about doing the same here in vancouver, our bridge is only 2 meters shorter…

cannibal holocaust! seen it for the first time a few years back…fucking twisted!..but i dig the shockumentary style…

Oh yeah and A Serbian Film was

NEWBORN PORN!!!!!

I was at that.

Went from wtf…to

audition! creepy as fuck. ting ting ting ting

I forgot to mention Caligula. That was definitely one of the most if not the most disturbing movie I’ve seen. Like the name suggests, the movie is about the sadistic and tyrannical Roman Emperor Caesar Caligula. It’s basically a hardcore porno with very good acting from Malcolm McDowell who stars as Caligula and makes the movie so much more disturbing just by being the main star. Besides the hardcore porn scenes and large amounts of dialogue the movie is also full of brutal torture scenes including a dude getting his dick cut off in full view. The movie also had freak people with six arms, three eyes, super skinny weird people, and amputee’s all going at it in large orgies. Malcolm McDowell performance in Caligula always reminds me of his performance in a Clockwork Orange because of how his character is so evil and yet McDowell acts like a happy-go-lucky child while torturing and killing people making him that much more convincing. IMO Caligula was Malcolm McDowell’s most evil character, far surpassing his role as Alex in Clockwork Orange, though of course Clockwork Orange was a waaaaay better movie.

Jesus, you seem like a massive cunt. is anything satisfactory to you? Does it make you feel important constantly criticizing everything? As if perhaps you were just a bit more insightful than the rest of us? I have not seen many of the movies listed other than irreversible, but I wonder, is there anything you actually like aside from appearing to be a pretentious twat?

The only movies I’ve ever heard him say anything positive about were Chairman of the Board and Superbabies 2, I think he also enjoyed Tom Cruise in Magnolia but I think that was more about the physique than the acting.

Yeah my best friend recently rented and watched it. He wanted me to watch it but I didn’t want to. Now I’m kinda curious to how f’d up the movie is

I dont even want to watch this. It just seems crazy gross. My roomate downloaded it and is waiting to watch it for some reason. I may end up watching it drunk one night.

Martyrs, tops my list of the most disturbing movies I’ve ever seen, next to Jungle Holocaust.

Anyone here seen Dogtooth? It’s relatively new.

Trailer:

Excellent thread.. got a whole slew of new movies to watch now

Just watched it last night, it was alright. Martyr’s still tops my list.

If anything, you should watch Martyr’s.

me too. I am just here for the refs.

Tho Hard Candy was a little messed up.

Taxidermia

Irriversible was good… but it wasn’t the Rape scene that I thought was disturbing. It was the revenge that Bellucci’s boyfriend brought on the guy that raped her that was the fun disturbing part. Watching him smash that guys head into mush with a fire hydrant!Gaspar No
