If you guys like Quentin Tarantino, you’ll get a kick out of this movie! Think of the restaurant scene + katana….
well, that came from this movie except that it was a gambling house + 2 daggers!
I bought this movie because I go to used record stores and will buy about any kungfu movie that is under $5….watched this one and had a real trip because of that scene…was like BAM! THAT’S where it came from!
lots of humor, too…the guy’s mother is really sick and about to die…walks around with a cane but when she gets attacked, she starts killing all the guys around her! really funny!
look for this one and scoop it up if you ever see it…it’s great, I watch it all the time

Fearless, once upon a time (all 3 of em), and Seven swords were very good.
But you forgot a really impressive movie called ‘House of flying daggers’
Wich has a beautifull and tragic conclusion.
Also Ichi killer is a good movie but has alot of gore so maybe not that smart when you have a weak stomach..
And Battle royal is a must see ‘S’ class, if you havent seen it you are a silly monkey d(-_-)b

I do like Jet Li’s kungfu movie
But I dont think those movies are as popular as the TV series Prison Break now in China…
Anyway I have never heard of the Legend of zu…(maybe in the postpaper of the movie, it means the sword of the sky…Very abstractive….
Check out the Shaw Brothers 1970’s kung fu flicks, Quentan Tarintino cites them as a major influence on his movie “Kill Bill”
I watched battle royal few weeks ago in internet cafe. Battle royal FTW.
The new movie with all the pro wrestlers is kind of like Battle Royale.
Im not specifically anti-fighting movies, but don’t you people think that the overexaggerated moves make it unrealistic? That’s usually what steers me away from watching these kind of movies, if anything the moves that bruce lee makes, might be still realistically ,not compared to Jackie Chan, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon where the stuff is just so fake you almost have to vomit.
That’s why its been quite a long time ago since i’ve ever bothered to watch any kind of these movies, are they still worth it tho?

IMO, its the same as watching the matrix, or transporter…cheesy fight scenes but still good shit to watch nonetheless.
action/figting movies are meant to take your mind off of reality, not for us to refute it.

i must admit i hated most of jet’s american produced movies (romeo must die, the one, unleashed, etc..), but this movie is pretty damn good…cheesy story, but still good.

I’ve been a huge fan of Hero. The over-the-top dramatic fight scenes are beautifully done (the scene over the water was amazing) with terrific camera work. I also thought the storyline was great.
Young and Dangerous kinda sucked.
My favorite out of those is probably Fist of Legend.
Hero was great.
Oh and if you like Jacki Chan, cars, and fighting, Thunderbolt is a good movie.

(it looks to me that this movie is an american version of the story “journey to the west”)

speaking of which, which one is the old old jet li (think it was jet li) movie with jet li in the old chinese ponytail hairstyle, and it starts with him as a kid in a martial arts temple with one of his best friends ….and as they grow, his best friend turns evil and the final scene is them vs each other on top of poles, with the army surrounding them
i remember watching it when i was a kid, and i remember the fighting was badass, so i wanna dig it up and rewatch it, anybody know the name

The Chinese Street Fighter movie was fucking
Goku outta nowhere in the end.
I think it’s called future cop. Alot of big name HK stars in there.
