IGN early review of The Dark Knight. A perfect 10

“Meanwhile, the violence is quite possibly the most intense I have ever seen in a PG-13 film, leaving myself and others wondering how The Dark Knight avoided an R. But what is more disturbing is the unrelenting menace that hovers over every scene like a dark cloud. Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard’s leitmotif for The Joker sounds like a cross between Ligeti’s “Lux Aeterna” (from 2001) and the scraping, metallic curlicue that was used in trailers for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and enhances the clenched-fist feeling that anything can and will happen at any moment, even scenes in which he doesn’t appear.”

I just came to post a thread about IGN’s review of The Dark Knight, but I see someone beat me to it.
I can’t help but be more and more hyped up for this movie. Is that bad?
going with 8 friends at midnight. we will be lining up at around 7PM
There’s already tents outside the theater I go to.
It might be because the guys at are from here and they do all their events at this theater…either way, I won’t be going opening night.
i pre-bought 5 tickets to the imax showing at 10:30 on Friday. Well worth the $12 per ticket.
Just got my ticket for the midnight showing. It’s going to be epic.
I think this is the movie i’ve been waiting my entire life for… everything about it seems so… perfect. Nolan is a genius… nobody would have ever thought Ledger as the joker would or could be this haunting.
All the reviews so far are positive. Rotten Tomatoes has it at 100%
This movie isnt coming out until the 18th, how is everyone seeing it?
early screenings
Well, I thought that might be it but I saw that people were paying for tickets. Anytime I have been to a prescreening it was free.
Well, people paying for tickets now aren’t seeing a pre-screening. They are just buying tickets in advance.
This movie is going to be incredible. I’m going to see it opening day (wanted to see the midnight opening but I can’t due to complications). Everyone is giving it a 10/10… I’m contemplating getting the tickets in advanced or not. I don’t think I have much to worry about though since I’d be seeing it in the day time rather than at night.
