CHOKE: The Movie 2008

This book is amazing and I truly hope they movie is a good adaptation. I’m stoked and Sam Rockwell is playing Victor.

I wasn’t a fan of the book, but Fincher’s versions of Fight Club was batter than the book, so maybe it will have some hope.

wow dude, i gotta disagree. choke was a great story, and while fight club was a pretty kick ass movie, it was as good as the book, not better (in my useless opinion).

i hope the movie is as good as the book. sam rockwell should do a good job…
i had no idea they were even making this into a movie. super excited cause i loved the book. i hope they do it justice though.

omg omg. I don’t want to get my hopes up, Choke is my FAV of Chuck P.’s books, but this can turn into a fucking awesome movie..

I just finished reading Choke and I didnt think it was that great. The way it has been hyped up, I expected a lot more but I thought it was mediocre at best.

I’ve read all of Chuck Palahniuk’s book’s and they are very good for light reading. They are filled with random interesting facts but his books won’t change your life. I love nihilist literature, and I prefer Easton Ellis to Palahniuk.

The great thing about both Palahniuk and Ellis based movies is that you can watch them as seperate entities from the books. Choke the movie left out a few key elements in the book and was quite amusing to watch, even though I knew the story. Fight club was the same way, the book was totally different than the movie. To use an Easton Ellis example American Psycho and Rules of Attraction were both very different from the books as well.

Try another Palahniuk book. I liked Lullaby a lot, my boyfriend thought Survivor was good.
Whoa, I had no idea they were making this into a movie. I heard it was pretty fucked up (didn’t read the book). I thought he was just making a short based on this
Has anyone sen this movie yet? Almost went to see it but missed it unfortunately. Curious…

Saw the movie on Sunday, I really liked it. They left a few things out, and it was different than the book, which I think is a good thing (it means you can do both, watch and read and not be bored with either one).

But how much more than you "thought"?
It’s only showing at 1 theater here already. Only two showtimes
I really enjoyed the book, but I might have to wait for DVD for this one.
