black knight question
Was it the Black Knight or King Arthur that said “We’ll call it a draw.”
Because my roommate insists it was the black knight
Which makes absolutely no sense to me
I mean let’s think about it.
The entire scene, King Arthur was trying to avoid making a.. uh, scene
Yet the dark knight had to keep it real up in the thizang and all that other stuff with the “None shall pass” this and the “Let’s keep fighting” bullshit
Why would he call it a draw only to yell “Get back here!” and whatever else?
Doesn’t it make ten times more sense as King Arthur’s line?
“All right. We’ll call it a draw.” seems like the perfect thing to say to him before going on your merry way, doesn’t it?
DOESN’T IT?
I sure do hope I got a bunch of people clicking the link ready to say “ITS THE DARK KNIGHT, THTUPID!”
I really should get a girlfriend
Oh wait… wrong forum
ITZ DA DARK NITE STOOPID!
There ‘ya go!
Why don’t you Dl it, buy the DVD, or find a transcript online?
Edit: If it’s Monty Python you’re talking about, nope, I’m fairly sure it’s the Black Night, as doesn’t he say that when all of his limps are cut off?
^^ this, arthur cuts off all his limbs then the black knight trys to call it a draw as arthur walks past him
Because we played the scene over 3 times and still disagree. It’s kinda hard to tell. Why don’t you share your opinion instead of telling me how to find out for sure, because we damn sure are running out of evidence for both cases and need the jury’s opinion
its obviously the black knight, why would arthur say lets call it a draw when he won? the humor of the line only works when its the black knight saying it and you can clearly tell who it is by the voice, i honestly cant see where your confused
the black knight was on the ground with no limbs, looked around at the pieces of him scattered about and said, “alright… we’ll call it a draw”
wtf “it’s hard to tell”
[King Arthur has just cut the Black Knight's last leg off]
: Okay, we’ll call it a draw.
: [Preparing to leave] Come, Patsy.
[King Arthur and Patsy ride off]
: [calling after King Arthur] Oh! Had enough, eh? Come back and take what’s coming to you, you yellow bastards! Come back here and take what’s coming to you! I’ll bite your legs off!
The humor of the line works ten times better when King Arthur sarcastically says it, sheathes his sword and walks away.
lol i watched the black knight on tv before work today.
