‘Across the Universe’
Across the Universe (Sept. 28) So here’s one that sounds, well, interesting. Julie Taymor (Frida) directing Evan Rachel Wood (remember when she was on Profiler?) in a period musical about young love in the Vietnam War era — built around the catalog of the Beatles. It looks strange and compelling and maybe great or maybe a total train wreck. I’m gonna take a wait-and-see approach.
